Hypothetically, if he'd turned over his A9, I would have put in every penny I had, or could find/borrow/steal. 18 outs (9 flush, 6 straight and 3 Ts) make me 62% to win.

The 3-bet on the flop is because I believed I was a favorite over much of what he could have held (at the time of his first raise). My hand is a favorite over AJ and a big favorite over an overpair (had he tried to be tricky PF). 3-betting and trying to keep control of the hand seems almost mandatory. 5-betting heads up, as pretty much everyone has said here, is pretty spewy (because most people would have WAY better than 2nd pair).

edit: What if Villain is on a free-card play? You wouldn't want to three-bet there?
