Etiquette? On Facebook? I am sorry, sir, but you are deeply mistaken; Facebook has no etiquette because it's a [censored]-show.
All Facebook is is a popularity contest, to see who can have the most friends. If you're using it for 10 people only, why don't you just email and phone them instead? I don't use it because I'm pretty sure I'd waste too much time on it (obv this translates to me losing the friend competition), but if I did, I'd add every single person I knew from whenever/wherever.
