Default Re: NL100 Overpair gets action

I think if you are going to call all the way, then you should probably just move in on the flop. When he raises you, the pot is $35. Moving in isn't a ridiculous overbet and any other raise leaves you pot stuck anyway.

The villain could have a hand like A9, A8 or TJ and is just putting you to the test.

I would also lead the turn. If you get raised there, your hand is not in good shape and it is probably time to let it go. Once in a while you get bluffed by TT, but most of the time, you are drawing to 2 outs.

When the money goes in on the end, the only thing you really beat is JJ and maybe TT. My suspicion is that you are behind, but it is tough not to call with an overpair. He could easily have T8, 98, 78, 67, 88, 99, 55. A little less likely that he has a backdoor flush. Not that likely that he has AA or KK. This really reads a lot like 55 or 99. I don't think I would fold getting 3-1 and being that passive, but you really let yourself get sucked in for 100BB.
