I doubt that the latter is true or else your post wouldn't make any sense. Obv. the husband and wife are not serious about the game. You expressed your opinion and they all blew you off so find another game or make the best of it.
Anyways, I wound't have been too upset that they were colluding since it meant that you would only need to go against one of them and not both depending on where the blinds were. You should have been able to move in and at least scoop some blind(s).
