I think this hand is played fine, to be honest. Preflop is usually a raise but calling isnt bad and playing a small pot while youre OOP. Like DLM said: pot control. A flop c/r will bloat the pot when you have a vulnerable hand and are OOP. Also, the c/r will fold out all the hands youre beating.

Also, I definetly call the river. You've played it so passively that he can easily be trying to bluff you with any two.
