since you werent very specific in your original question about the type of research, ill fill in the holes. you could build a large wooden horse and roll it up to the house in the middle of the nightand and present it to the people as a gift. you will will be hiding inside of the horse and once they wheel you inside the house you can either spy on them or attack at dawn.
