Default Re: Visiting Moscow, Russia: What should I do/don\'t do?

Laugh at this all you want, but actually radioactive berries etc. from the Chernobyl have been intercepted during random street market checkups. Something like 200 kilos in 2005. This probably pales in comparison to the overall quantity sold, but it's food for thought nonetheless. (ahahah I'm the pun master..). Don't have a reference, I believe I read it in the Moscow Times back then.

What baffles me is not so much the scumbags that would sell that stuff. Either they don't know, or they just don't care about other people. It's probably not *THAT* dangerous for them to be around it, as long as they don't eat it.

But who the F harvests those things? If it's people that (still) live there, WTF are they gonna do with the money?
