Default Tilting Made Me School the Maniac Jerk

What I should have said: "I'm still learning -- I'm not as good as you."

What I actually said:

"You should learn how to stop calling on the turn with rags."

Rewind:

WINSTAR Casino in Oklahoma. 60-yr old maniac jerk in the 3 seat has caused a lot of drama at our table: slowrolling, telling a guy to "go f*ck yourself", and threatening to "take it outside to the parking lot". He's a maniac, PFR% of about 80%, bluffs a lot. I love playing with this guy -- lots of variance, but lots of $$ to be made.

I was in the BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Saw a free flop w/ 2 people: J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Check all around. Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I check. Maniac bets pot. Calling station calls. I min-raise. 2 callers. River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I check. Maniac & calling station check. Maniac shows 7-3o and announces "pair of 7s". I show my baby flush.

He then berates me for not betting for value on the river: "You need to learn how to bet the river with your good hands; You got no value on that hand...". I reply: "You need to learn how to not call with rags on the turn. I checked to you because you bluff like 90% of the time." He said he's only bluffed 1 pot (lie). About an hour later I check the 18th nuts to him (or something), and he moves-all in on the river. I call. He shows AK unimproved.

Moral of the story: I need to learn to not tilt & school the maniacs/fish. And it's true, I still have a lot to learn, so I should just say "I'm still learning" or something like that.

Oh, and props to Jason for staying calm while said maniac jerk threatened him and made a big scene. (Not sure if he's on 2+2 or not.)
