Call and bet/3bet the flop.

is the preferred move?

We don't want to fold out worse potential overpairs pf?

If you 4-bet PF, you basically turn your hand face-up. How would you interpret a raise from EP, reraise from CO and re-reraise from EP? QQ+, maaaaaybe AK. By calling PF, you still disguise your hand (although it's probably pretty good).

Now, you may not get his entire stack by following this line. But you increase the chances of getting more. Had you 4-bet/pushed PF, villain would probably get away from all hands but QQ+. By following this line, you might stack TT, JJ and AK (if a K hits). If villain has AA, you're going broke anyway, so that doesn't matter.

You may also stack or more likely get value out of other hands (air, 88-JJ, Ax, other weirdly played hands), which otherwise probably would have folded PF.
