Peep game, BBV.

I'm out at bob's steak and chop house with my uncle and some other guys last week. Afterwards we decide to play some poker at one of their houses. Someone decides that since no one has a lot of cash on them that we should just keep a tally and settle up next time we see eachother. I didn't really like this too much, b/c I only see these guys three or four times a year, but none of these guys are going to angle out of a gambling debt. What bothered me the most was that I like to pay my gambling debts ASAP b/c I hate owing people money. Whatever.

We're playing 5-5 nlhe, and since no one brought cash, everyone decided they'd play two thousand behind. I get involved in a hand where the following comes up;

one guy opens the pot for $50 (standard) and i call from the button with 9-10 offsuit. the flop comes K-Q-J with two of one suit, he bets $200 and i call. the turn card brings the third spade, the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and he bets $1000. I check and see that i have the 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and i call. The river is a baby spade and he moves in on me, and i call. He says he has the nuts, and i wait for him to table his hand, and he has TT, i turn over my flush, gg.

on the way out he asks me if i like watches. i'm like, yeah, sure, why?

he then pulls this off his wrist and says 'you're a good kid, here, hang on to this, my wife just bought me a breitling, call it even'

it's got a little wear on it, small scratches on the band and what not, but i like it:

The [censored] part is that if I want to sell it I've got to get the papers that come with it, and that's going to be a sort of awkward hassle. I'll probably just keep it. It's worth about $3K or so i think.
