Default Re: Possible Pooh-bah? - The Basics of Thinking in Terms of Ranges

ok, am i wrong to think that the river bet is too high?

if we put his calling range on 88, 99, T9, T8, JTo+...unless it's AT, KT, MAYBE QT he isn't calling a river bet of 75$.

i think even a smaller bet to induce a call (we already know our hand is good, let's maximize the $$$$) will be > EV in the long run, because if villain DOES have a better hand but never CR bluffs, with 100bb stacks, u can't fold the river.

a bet of 40$ on the river even may induce a call from a busted ace high flush draw...while still allowing us to fold to river raises.
