In this case you will be easily able to tell the DVI connected monitor from the VGA connected one, unless you have very good VGA cables and imperfect vision.

It is not easy to spot the benefits of DVI as opposed to a VGA connection - but if you have two identical monitors right next to each other connected one with DVI, one with VGA - it will be somewhat obvioud which one is using the analogue connection.


EDIT: I speak only of NVIDIA cards, of which I have experience. Maybe ATi(AMD) are better, Matrox are almost certainly better at outputting a decent signal over VGA.
