I think OP advocates playing a much loser style of unlimited no limit hold them than i'd feel comfortable playing.
Personally, i never play cash games unless we're all 234574363432 BBs deep, and only ever see the flop with hands where i can do some straight-flush mining.
We've all been felted when our quads run into straight flushes, and that's why i've adjusted in this way to the new world of hold 'em.
Drawing to quads is just a recipe for disaster.
