I went last week to the Las Vegas Gun Range (
www.lasvegasgunrange.net). Pretty fun, but these are submachine guns (MP5's, tommy guns, Uzis), not assault rifles and not light machine guns, which I've seen other places offer (which was great for me, but possibly not what you're looking for).
Shooting is HARD. Significantly more difficult than I would have expected, and your vision during fully automatic fire is absolutely shot (nyuk).
