bet this flop every time

pleeeeeeease explain. apparently i'm in the minority in thinking a cbet is bad, but i still don't understand what we gain from it. i just imagine that a king is never folding and decently often he will c/r some kind of draw that forces us to fold the best hand.
seriously, please help me to understand this.

you flop middle pair best kicker with AQ, there are straight and flush draws on the board, why give him a free card? i dunno i cbet this when i miss it so why not bet when i hit it?
just seems silly to check behind when you flop a decent hand, but bet when you miss and bet when you flop a good hand.
super exploitable imo
edit: my thinking was EXACTLY the same as yours until i started watching my friend play who is a winning 5/10 player, he always cbets, so i just started to always cbet. makes you a lot tougher to play against and you never have to make tough calldowns when you check the flop and have no idea where you are at
