Default Re: Unregistering for the WSOP

[ QUOTE ]
I pre-registered for Event 25, sent in $2000, but now it looks like I may not be able to make that event. I would hope to play another event, but perhaps not at all. The confirmation email I got says this:

"your funds have been received. Please proceed to the World Series of Poker Cashier window upon your arrival at The Rio Hotel All-Suite Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV to complete your registration. Please arrive at least one hour before your earliest event. Your funds maybe
applied to event registration at that time or for any other use."

I assume that last bit means I can show up at the cage and get back my $2000 if I'd like, either in cash or chips. But I was wondering if anyone here had actually "unregistered" like this.

Also, would I have to do it before Event 25? The confirmation doesn't say anything about which event, so I assume I could show up later in the tourney, show my confirmation and still have $2000 to use for entry or to get back.

Could I show up after the WSOP was over?

I hate non-answers like this, but I would call them. I had a question about the registration process and called the toll free number and left a message. A very nice lady called me the next day to answer my questions. Give it a shot an avoid all uncertainty.
