Another option is table selection. You can avoid playing at the same table unless he is actively looking for you. Also make sure if you do sit with them that you have position on him, and if he ever sits to your left try to move.

Or he could start playing better and exploiting this opponents overaggressive play. And it's more exploitable if this opponent is to our left.
Running away from him is lame, and giving up EV.
