Does he overplay his pps postflop? That would be a big factor for me to decide how many hands to 4-bet with.

If you raise, then call his 3bet with AK, and the flop comes A/K high, will he fire away on the flop and turn with like 77 hoping you'll fold something? If so, I would keep calling with AK. If not, start 4-betting it, maybe even 4-bet-push preflop with it.

I would definitely start 4-betting TT+. Maybe 77+ if your initial raise was in a steal position. He's taking advantage of your weak/tight play. Stop being weak/tight!
