I hate the flop check, that board is a disaster. If the guy doesn't have an overpair he's rarely betting into 3 players, and the turn can kill your hand. It also hurts that there is only one more player to act and you are completely banking on him to bet. If he has an overpair and you bet, he will sometimes raise too, and so you'll still win a big pot off of him without all the huge negatives that occur if he checks.
