I don't get it. It says "$5K Guaranteed" a couple places in the lobby, no? Isn't it pretty clear the $54K thing is a software glitch (or typo)?
Since you even said in your original post "Everyone could see that this was not the correct prize pool," you had to know this was a possibility when you signed up, right? Seems to me like you (and others) tried to take your share of ~$50K from Crypto, but they noticed it before you did.
I guess I can understand the disappointment, but I don't think they owe you anything - if it mistakenly said "$54K Guaranteed" everywhere in the lobby, you'd have a lot more of a beef. They could throw you a free entry to another $25+$2 or something as a gesture, but I think even that would be more than what's necessary.
