Default Re: I must be new to sports betting

[ QUOTE ]
Hi guys, this one threw me for a loop yesterday so I wanted to know if you all agree. I had a parlay with the phillies and Florida yesterday in Baseball. I had both as "action". I guess the phillies changed their pitcher before the game started. I had the Phillies at -175 on my parlay, but when it was graded, they had the phillies at
-205. Can the sportsbook change the odds after the bet was already made? They told me because I chose "action" the odds can change if the pitcher changes. I thought once your bet was laid, you got the odds at the time of the bet? What if they threw in a rookie pitcher? Would I get the line at -120 instead of -175 even if at the time I placed the wager they were -175? I was under the impression that when your bet was placed, the odds (no matter what your betting on) were locked in? Am I wrong?

That's what "action" means, that if the pitchers change you agree to get the new line. If you're worried about a change in pitchers then go with the "listed pitchers must start" option. And yes as far as I know if the line moves in your favor you get the new better line as well. I'm not an expert b/c I never choose action. Congrats on the parlay win.
