Well, I shouldn't say it was bad. It was just from an ex-employer.
I wrote the letter, by his consent, and he signed it. It was well written and truthful... it's just, he was a manager at Subway. That's not some powerful position of community leader.
I think Thremp is right. The pool of applicants was probably very, very strong. If my entire school applied, it'd be in the top 15%... but maybe only the top half of the actual applicants.
My interview skills are great. I am very personable, and normal looking. I dressed well and all (suit, nice tie, etc). I've always been told that when I want to I seem very confident and professional. I had to do a mock interview for my career planning class (easiest. class. ever.) and the lady at the career center said I didn't need to practice, etc.
