I don't know if this applies to this kid but in one of Mike Cairo's books (mabey Skalansky) He talks about conducting expereiments where you go and don't play any hands to appreciate the small amount of money this costs you. Or perhaps he is experimenting with "what If I only play premium hands". In the end I don't think it matters so have fun stealing his blinds

Not sure about Caro, but this sounds like Sklansky's system he devised for the daughter of a casino owner. It's in "Tournament Poker for Advanced Players" on page 122. The basic system for her would be AA, KK, AKs move-in. If no raise in front, move in with any pair, Axs, AKs, AKo, XXs except 54 and 32.

I've had a really bad run of cards over the last month in live play, and if I were using this system, I would have played very few hands. Last night, I "played" three hands in about an hour. I limped with hands as weak as two-gap off-suiters, but raises usually drove me out. During a two hour session, I saw three pairs, all under eights and only one broadway. After I raised with AK, one guy said "if you're raising, I'm folding." That's when I left for the night.
