It's a live thing. He's barely sat down and stacked his chips, he has no idea whether or not there is a straddle. If he takes his time to compose himself, stack his chips, and then he pops it, it will reveal too much about the strength of his hand. For some reason, this happens to me a lot live (getting a premium hand within seconds of sitting down and being a bit frazzled). Also, most people will give respect to a reraise the first time someone does it, although Jamie might not care.
