Re: Does where you live matter to you?
There's only two places I've been that I could really say I'd be happy about living. One is NYC, where I live now. The other is San Francisco, where I've spent a pretty significant amount of time. These extend to surrounding areas too. For example, I wouldn't mind living in Hoboken or Berkeley, but I'd still prefer to be in the actual cities.
Living in really small towns would drive me nuts in about 20 minutes. I can see this changing later in life if I have a wife/kids, but I'm just not at that point in my life now. There's too much I value about living in real cities.
