I'm a first year psychology student at the university of amsterdam. I've had the course 'social psychology' and what's called 'persoonlijkheidsleer' in Dutch. It was about the 5 major theories about personality. Both were interesting.
We had an english book for social psychology:
http://www.amazon.com/Social-Psychol.../dp/0131786865
IMO you learn a lot of interesting 'facts' and stuff you can see/use in your daily life in the course Social Psychology.
In the personality theories course we learned about Freud, Skinner, Rogers, Kelly and Eysenck. But the book was written by the woman who taught it. She enjoyed teaching the subject and seemed intelligent, which made it fun. Although I didn't attend most of the classes.
(i edited stuff)
also edit: i have no idea if the course Psychology in Personality is anything like what I had.
