Default Re: QQ against a tight PFR

[ QUOTE ]
Motor City Casino 5-10 10 handed

Villian is a calling station. When he bets after checking for every street, he always has it. When he raises preflop, he usually has a good hand. Probably AA-JJ, AKs, AQs, AKo kinda range.

I have Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in HJ

1 fold, Villian raises, 1 cold call, I 3-bet, 2 cold calls, folded to Villian who caps, all call.

Flop (5 players) 20sb

T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villian bets, 1 call, Hip calls, 2 calls

Turn (5 players) 12BB

8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villian bets, 1 fold, I raise

this is the last money I put in, unless the river is a Q.

How do you call a player who is this active in a hand a 'calling station'? You've got his mannerisms pegged, it seems, and should proceed accordingly. You say he bets usually with 'a good hand'. What is a good hand here for what you called a calling station to bet on the turn? The only hand I'd expect him to have given this information that you can beat is JJ (unlikely given the pre-flop cap). You've put the fright into him with your turn raise (you don't mention that he called but it's implied) and, since he didn't re-raise you on the turn you can expect him to check-call the river unless he hits his set and if I were you I would check and pray on the river as well.
