Wow I just moved back from Cali to Ohio and my experience was exactly the opposite. People in Ohio into some bad categories:
Rednecks who want to bar fight anytime they aren't hunting/fishing
Gangmembers who will shoot you for looking at them
Crystal Meth Junkies who have been awake for 27 days and are broke and psychotic looking for a fix
Old people calling the police on you evey ten minutes because they think you are one of the above.
When I was in Cali, everyone was overly nice. Girls always smiling and flirting. Guys chatting it up like you were thier best friend. I miss it. (This was Pismo beach area of Cali.)
