I don't understand what ppl aren't getting. There's no particular reason for OP to talk to her during class, and he's not "purposely" avoiding it, he just sits 10 rows away, so why get up?

Also, as far as "honey" and "babe", some girls do that right away, so don't read too much into it, but the marriage-like comment, most sane girls know not to make, for the reason that it scares guys. So, yeah, run.
