You would think actually getting them drunk, and them pretending to be sober, would work better than the reverse. If they want to censored you, they won't get 'fake drunk' to do it.
But maybe you're right, getting them drunk is like shooting fish in a barrel. No thrill of the 'chase' and whatnot.
