I went to Europe for 2 months alone. Generally it was a hella blast, it gives you way more motivation and opportunities to meet random people and hang out, you meet the locals, etc. I had the money to stay in nicer places but staying in hostels was totally the way to go because of all the people you meet.
On the other hand, it can be frustrating and depressing and I felt more sad & alone than maybe any other time in my life on that trip.
