Satellite Advice
Hi everyone,
I'm sure that this has been covered before, but I can't find it anywhere...if there is a good link please can someone point me in the right direction?
I will soon be playing in a satellite tourney of 98 players, top 18 go through to the next stage. I was hoping that some of the more experienced players would be able to post any tips/strategy advice for me here!
Structure:
98 players, top 18 goes through (+ payment for top 10)
5000 starting stack
Blinds increase every 15 mins
Blinds start 10/20
I generally play cash, sometimes STTs, occasionally MTTs, and only play satellites very rarely. The satellites I have played before have been low buy-in (usually just for $26 tokens) and very mixed results. Should I stick to playing TAG or be fairly loose at the start? Also this satellite differs from most as it pays top 20% (more or less). [Note: all players in this won a seat by playing an MTT with 30 –100 players, so would imagine they can all play….I managed to get in somehow though!]
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!
