I 3bet the flop because a ton of cards kill action on the turn. Think about the hands that villain could have and how they might react to different turns.
Big Kings shut down if a heart comes
Big hearts, other draws, or pair+fd shut down if a heart doesn't come.
Basically, he's not often folding on the flop except maybe a weak draw, and we have his range absolutely demolished, so why not get more in before the turn comes and he grows a fold button?
