Soldiers die. If supporting the troops means ensuring that none do then no one has ever supported the troops in all of history.

There's a difference between "soldiers die, get over it" and "soldiers die due to need for a simple, adequate vehicle for the war we're in while we purchase billions of dollars of other hi-tech equipment for some faceless future enemy"...
