Default Re: Las Vegas- comping poker players?

And Imperial Palace at $2/hr that goes right on the IP card and so can be used to pay for almost anything is probably the peak of Vegas strip poker room comps.

Treasure Island (TI) also gives $2 per hour comps to all players (tournies excepted). Only IP and TI do this.

At IP, like you said, the comps can be used for anything, including the gift shop and can even be applied to your hotel bill. Many poker rooms have poker room rates, which offer discounted hotel room prices on the condition that you play a certain number of hours in the poker room each day.

At TI, you can use the $2 per hour in any of TI's restaurants.

Many places that give you $1 per hour allow you to use it in only specific restaurants.

Also, poker comps usually must be gotten from the desk in the poker room first, before going to the restaurant.
