Has anyone else observed the phenomenom of trees that smell like semen (usually during the fall or spring, I can't remember which)? If so, where have you smelled them? And any theories on which type of tree is the culprit?
The Straight Dope has adressed this topic but the evidence seems inconclusive:

In those columns they suggest that semen trees are only found in southern California, but I and several friends of mine have smelled semen trees in NJ (yeah yeah insert NJ smell joke here)
