There are six billion people on the planet. If you told me you were a single, homeless drifter with no friends, then I might see the problem. But, the truth of the matter is that you have empirical evidence that you are already liked(a wife, who I'm guessing CHOSE to marry you, most likely over someone else). It is reasonable to assume, then, that more people will like you. So just don't worry about what's going to come out of your mouth so much.
