Information is reality. Whether it comes from the Matrix, a demon, God, etc. etc. makes it no less real information. There may be a higher order of reality on which our reality depends to obtain its information -- but that does not diminish its status as a reality. The nice thing is that our reality in any case appears to be consistently predictable via the laws of physics, which can be useful to understand and exploit.
