That's pretty common in all the home games I play in. We all know the rules, but really, it isn't a big deal. If someone wants to see both cards, they just say so and its shown. I always show both cards if I'm winning the pot at the showdown, but I also always wait for whoever made the last aggressive action to show first.
Whoever bets last must show first, and show both their cards.
