I would lean towards moving on, just because of the two lines

I agree. Additionally, these two lines appear to reinforce the leaving aspect:

"Read it, sweet maid, though it be done but slightly;
Who can show all his love, doth love but lightly."

It just sounds like a smart ass kiss off to me. And you do have the words "it be done".
