I would say that 200 is only enough if you want play extremely tight and look for a double up opportunity. Most pots are raised to 25-40+ so you need to have some ammo after the flop.
I always buy in for the max which is $500 or 50% of largest stack.
And yes I saw the guy fall out of the chair. He was at the must move table. I was sitting in the main game when it happened and couldn't wait for those drunk idiots to get to our table. They finally did and I can sit a little higher in my chair because of it.
