Default Re: 5 Favorite Albums that you may not have never heard of before

[ QUOTE ]
Jayhaws, dolorean, the thorns, ....i would have thought that i was the only one....couple of my fav cds, and i have heard almost all that has been listed....i almost feel cool

5 you have probably not heard of
1.Cory Branan - The Hell you say
2.Ray Lamontange - Trouble
3.Amos Lee - Amose Lee
4Sun Kil Moon - Tiny Cities (modest mouse covers folked out)
Sun Kil Moon - Ghost of Great American Highways
5.Matthew Ryan - May Day
Matthew Ryan - Return to Me

[/ QUOTE ]

as far as Matthew Ryan goes, I first came to him thru Concussion and that album blew me clean out of the water -

probably contributed to my drinking issues though

I'd put these 5 down

1. - Vigilantes of Love - Summershine - available for free download 3rd link down from this site
2. - Patty Griffin - Living With Ghosts (phenom songwriter - entire album is one soaring vocal and one sparse guitar)
3. - Kelly Willis - Easy - (though Dom's recommendation is good too - saw her live in 2001 - have a boot I made of it somewhere)
4. - Jackson C. Frank - Blues Run The Game - another great folkie who never got too much attention past his 60's fame - sounds a bit like Nick Drake -
5. - Kate Rusby - 10 -
