Default The rake\'s impact on preflop play medium stakes to higher stakes

Since online sites dont rake over 3$ per hand medium stakes games have a higher percent raked then higher stakes games. Does this then mean that a fewer percentage of hands are profitable at a medium stakes all other factors being equal?

I assume that it is accepted that looser player pay a higher rake but does anyone know how much? I would be very interested to know the rake paid per hour at a given stake of a 40VPIP player and a 20VPIP player.

My point is that if you look down at 78s utg one of the factors on whether you should play it is -am I willing to pay the house to play this hand?
