Don't learn on an electric. Nothing wrong with squires but play one before you buy it. Some play great and some are crap. Any cheap acoustic from a major brand is fine, but I would still recommend playing a cheap guitar before buying one i.e. a catalog order type of thing.

Actually electrics are easier to play, but making the transition from electric to acoustic is much tougher than making the transition the other way.
