Windsor is a waaaay better place to play than any of the casinos in Detroit for a multitude of reasons.

I'd love to hear more about this if you don't mind. I'll be in the Detroit area in a few weeks for a weekend and am thinking of staying in Windsor instead of Detroit, and spending some time playing 1-2NL. Sounds like Casino Windsor is the best choice?

See the post above this one. To reiterate:

- Detroit poker rooms are among the dirtiest, worst managed that I have ever seen;
- Windsor room is quite nice and well managed;
- You get a slight advantage at Windsor due to the exchange rate;
- The games are great - I think the above poster characterized them pretty well;
- People are friendly in Canada!

The only drawback to going to Windsor is the bridge/tunnel (bring your passport, it will make the process alot easier), but I always end up making the trip and feeling good about the decision.

This about covers it. I will say, from my personal experience, that there are 2 things marginally untrue with the above: 1)Alot of college kids come over to play, so the "nice" atmosphere is obviously highly open to interpretation and 2) The exchange rate doesn't really help you on wins, sure if you lose 100 you only lost 90 (which isn't a big deal anyway) but if you win 200 you only won 180, so it's a wash.
