On a first/ blind date, eat the entree slowly.

At the beginning of the date, there is a 50/50 chance that either you will be siping alcohol frequently to alieviate awkward sciene or talking incesantly to do so. This can't really be controled. During the meal, if you space it out, there will be a metronomic sip after each dialogue.

Eat slowly because of the timing of conversation, + the natural tendency of girls not wanting to appear as pigs and leave two bites of thier dinner, and subtly encourages a girl to drink more without you having to creepily prompt her to do so.

If your date states "i've made it a point not to drink ON THE FIRST DATE," your date is a porn star that has told herself she has reformed. Either find a way to challenge her to drink or remain cool till the second date where you'll easily close the deal and she'll have gained the uncanny ability to rationalize her slutiness.
