As you can probably see, the evolution follows the path "brains and life improvement better than raw strenght" and infortunately the reign of the bully has been extremely long. After we have succeeded in removing him from the corridors of powers, human evolution has grown exponantionally as the intellectually better equipped individuals have been allowed to produce without the fear of being hunted by the bully (usually because he wouldn't understand what he was dealing with).

Needless to say that OOT is at stage 1.
