If she's already into rough sex then I doubt she's setting you up. An ex g/f of mine had a profile on a dating site where her handle was "breathlessgirl". She loved being choked during sex. (She also loved other women, group sex, and all kinds of other fun stuff.)
Go for it. Just be careful and don't choke her too hard for too long.
