I'd love suggestions on how to pay the delivery charge straight to the driver instead of the store, but somehow I think you didn't really mean that.

I was pointing out that stores probably differentiate on how they distribute the delivery charge. Some stores probably give some money to the drivers, my store gave none.
With the current prices of gas I'm of the opinion that if you don't tip at least two bucks then you should pick it up.
