Addressing 1) Those 300 chips aren't really dead money yet since we aren't closing the action. There are still two people to act behind us who apparantly like their hand at least a little bit. This is going to make me a little bit more cautious.
Addressing 2) I guess I just disagree with this statement. Even at the 16s I don't see many players pushing over a raise and two calls with small pairs. Just my opinion, but you are right this would be very read dependant, it's just that you are going to need a very good read on three players to call this.
